Solid Rock Baptist Church of Ankeny

In 2018, while serving the Lord at Twin Pines Baptist Church in Robins, Iowa, God impressed upon Pastor Keith Baker's heart to start a church. With the blessing of their pastor, Ken Koske and the support of family, the Bakers moved to Ankeny, Iowa. Solid Rock Baptist Church conducted their first service, August 26, 2018, in a rented space in a Seventh Day Adventist Church building.  Late 2021, the Lord began to work once again on the Baker’s heart about bringing a permanent Pastor for Solid Rock. After much prayer, the Lord brought Pastor Trevor Heims and his family to join SRBC, and on November 1, 2022 Pastor Heims became the permanent pastor of Solid Rock Baptist Church. Many souls have come to know the Lord as Savior through His church plant, and through God’s grace many visitors have come, joined and today continue to grow at SRBC.  With God’s help, SRBC has a bright future, as we continue to make God not only the foundation of our church, but the center of our lives.
